How Can severe Neck Pain Be Treated?
Hi doctor, I am 37 single. I have been asked to get a MRI scan done for my neck and spine as I have a severe neck pain. the MRI appointment is today. However I have got my periods since yesterday and ususally I bleed a lot on the second day which is today. so will the MRI have any side effects on my monthly menstruation? should I wait till my menstruation is over to get a MRI done.

As a first line management, you can take analgesics like Paracetamol or Aceclofenac for pain relief.
If symptoms persist better to consult an orthopedician and plan for an MRI neck to rule out spine related problems like spondylitis.
